November Favourites

Hello lovelies, this is me being super organised with my November favorites and actually posting it on the last day of November. November is a great month, with the excitement of Christmas just round the corner and the amazing colours of all the leaves, everyone is getting cosy and into the spirit!

I can't quite believe it is December tomorrow! But the first thing I have been loving this month is my baby lips lip balm in 'cherry me'. This is the third baby lips I have purchased and I can tell you hands down this is my favourite, it keeps my lips really moisturised, but also gives a nice berry tint to my lips so if I am doing something that doesn't really require me to put much makeup on like just popping to the shops, I will shove some of this on and it gives me a bit of colour to my lips. It's perfect for those lazy make up days!

Next, and i'm getting a bit Christmassy here, is my Christmas Yankee candle! When I saw all the Christmas collection this one was by far my favourite and with it being scent of the month this month and having 25% off how could I refuse? I only got a smaller jar because I wanted this scent to just remind me of Christmas, because my normal big jars last me forever. So this one will be perfect for the Christmas season!

Thirdly - I recently got given this from my manager and I am IN LOVE, I have wanted one for so long and I was ridiculously happy when I saw it. It is of course my Pandora essence bracelet with the caring charm. I have a massive pandora collection of charms and my normal charm bracelet is almost full but this is one of the new collections that been bought out where its a whole new bracelet with totally different charms. It is just beautiful - So I couldn't not put that on this month.

Recently I have been having really bad breakouts around my chin and I was getting so frustrated because nothing was working and I didn't have the money to spend like 30 pounds on a face wash, so I found this in a massive collection of stuff I never actually used that have been given to me from presents and stuff and I actually love it. It is the soap & glory 'Peaches and clean 3 in 1 wash-off'. It smells amazing and it so smooth to put on your face but it still feels like its doing something for your skin, so I will continue to use that!

And lastly, you can't quite see it that well but it is my red tartan scarf! Perfect for this time of year, I actually intended this to be a present for a friend, but it turned out I never actually saw said friend and decided i'd keep it for myself rather than returning it. I got it from TK Max and it is amazingly soft and warm and quite glad I kept it really!

So that concludes my 5 favourites for this month, hopefully next month will be jam packed with all my favourite Christmas presents & I am super excited for that! Post a link to any of your November favourites, I'd love to read them!

100 random questions no one ever asks: Part 1

Hello lovelies, So I did a get to know me tag back in May, and to say I had only been blogging for one month it got quite a lot of love, so i'm guessing you guys enjoyed it and thought it was about time I did another.

I got these questions from a '100 random questions no one ever asks tag', because thought it would be a bit more fun and less boring for you guys. Here we go:

1. Do you sleep with the wardrobe doors open or closed?
Well I don't actually have a wardrobe in my room, in my uni house I have two little rooms and the other one is my dressing room thing that has all that stuff in. But if it was in my room, it would have to be closed.

2. Do you take the shampoos and conditioners from hotels?
I'm ashamed to say, yes. This is something I picked up from my mother, she is the kind of person that at the breakfast in the morning will put things in her bag for lunch and try and force feed us yogurts because they were free (please tell me you guys have mothers like that too). But I like to take them for the memories of the place, I don't think i've ever actually used them

3. Do you sleep with the sheets tucked in or out?
Out. I have to be able to get my leg out when i'm too warm (but not for too long, obviously, or the monsters will get it)

4. Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
I'm having to actually think about this, i'm sure one of my friends have on our drunken nights, but nothing springs to mind.

5. Do you like to use post-it notes?
I like to keep them in my diary and when I am researching using books I put them all over the place.

6. Do you cut out vouchers but then never use them?
I don't even cut them out and just forget about them, but I really should probably use them to be honest. Student life is not cheap.

7. Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of bees?
Erm, neither? Both sound pretty painful, but probably rather the bear as yeh it would hurt, but it wouldn't be all over your body everywhere.

8. Do you have freckles?
I used to actually have so many when I was younger, I found a picture the other day and it was so funny, they have mostly faded on my face though, still have quite a few on my arms though and the sun brings them out a lot more.

9. Do you always smile for pictures?
I'm going to say probably about 85% of the time, yes I do.

10. What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have a few, but first one that comes to mind is when people bash their teeth against their fork or spoon, drives me crazy, and really noisy eaters too who can't keep their mouth closed.

11. Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
Can't say I do, no.

12. Have you ever been camping?
I used to go more when I was younger, now its only really for festivals and stuff, but funny story: When I was about 5, my mum took me camping, and I just couldn't understand why we were there, I kept saying things like, 'mummy I don't understand why we are here when we have a perfectly good toilet and kitchen at home.'

13. How long has it been since you went camping?
Like I said before, festivals and such, and I actually went to T in the park last July (I think it was July)

14. Do you ever dance even when there is no music playing?
Who needs music? I am the worst for it in the kitchen, just dancing away around the table while cooking.

15. Do you chew on your pens and pencils?
To be honest, it depends how bored I am, not normally no.

16. How many people have you spent time with this week?
Well my boyfriend stayed over for a couple of days, so thats been nice, then my housemates and workmates really.

17. What size is your bed?
My one at home is a king, the one at uni - not exactly sure... think its just a double. Can't live without a double bed, I would just fall straight out of a single.

18. What is your song of the week?
Well, as i'm writing this post on the day it was released, i'm going to have to said the brand new Band Aid 30, which has been remade to raise money to help against ebola. So everyone go buy it off itunes, who are giving 100% of the profits to charity!

19. Is it okay for guys to wear pink?
Don't see why not, unless its those horrible low V neck t shirts that guys think they look so attractive in.

20. Do you still watch cartoons?
I love most animated movies if that counts? Don't think I watch any cartoons a lot anymore though.

21. What is your least favourite movie?
Hard question. first one that sprang to mind is Saving Private Ryan, I know a lot of people love it and say its amazing, but I was forced to watch it and it just wasn't my thing.

22. Where would you hide buried treasure if you had some?
Somewhere in a tiny little place called Overton where I used to live and play in the woods, know them so well and hardly anyone ever goes in there.

23. What do you drink with your dinner?
I do always try and have water, but if that fails, some form of squash.

24. What do you dip your chicken nuggets in?
Ketchup. Always.

25. What is your favourite food?
Thai food, I love it. Especially green thai curry.

And for now, I think i'll stop there. I was actually considering doing the rest in video form? For my first ever one... but who knows! Thanks for reading guys, and if you have done this tag too, let me know in the comments as I would love to read your answers.

How to get motivated & be productive

Hello lovelies, today is going to be a productive day - I have decided I am going to cram down on all my uni work and I thought before I do that, what could be better than telling you guys about it? So if you are really struggling to get motivated to do work, here are some tips that I always follow that help me!

  • Don't waste your day
If you are like myself in the fact you sleep in till about 12 when you don't need to do anything, change that! You don't have to get up at the crack of dawn, but maybe 9.30, get ready and feel fresh. You will feel like you have so much more time!

  • Start with your surroundings
I always feel if my room is messy or things are out of place, I never focus as well, so if you are someone that likes to study in your room, then get the place tidy before you start! If like other people you get easily distracted in places like that, go somewhere else - the local library, a quiet cafe, a friends house. Anywhere you feel motivated and less distracted.

You can also take this a step further, with the other senses, maybe find a scented candle that you like the smell of and only light it when you need to focus, or only eat certain foods (that will help you concentrate) and that way your brain will associate that with a need to focus.

  • Get organised
Make sure everything you need is in front of you and have a great set up, nothing worse than being in the middle of something, realising you need something and then losing focus and breaking out of your concentration.

  • Remove yourself from social media
We all know we can spend hours on tumblr, instagram, pinterest, facebook etc. but when you really need to crack down you need to take yourself away from that, and mute your phone and social media's - Just for a few hours, I think we can survive.

  • Have plenty of food and drink
Make sure you have plenty of water and brain food at hand, you don't want your mind to wonder to how hungry you are. If you want to know what is best to have, I found a post here about top 10 foods to boost your brain.

  • Don't procrastinate
In a way, I guess I am doing that now. Writing this for you guys, but I am sticking to the fact that this will help me in the long run as now I must follow all of these things. But if you are one of those people, like myself, who spend ages making revision notes look pretty with all different colours. Yes, it looks great, but how much time did that actually waste? If you want to do that and it helps you, totally fine, but don't spend hours making mind maps and revision timetables look pretty when you could actually be studying.

  • Don't forget to have short breaks
When we need to crack down, people tend to forget we can't physically focus for 3 hours straight. We need to have a little break, so go away for 5 minutes, remove yourself from the situation you have been in, avoid social media still and maybe read a book for 5 minutes or go outside for some fresh air.

  • And lastly, feel accomplished and set yourself little goals.
Instead of writing a massive to do list every day, just set yourself little goals that are attainable every couple of hours. This way you will feel more accomplished and far more motivated to continue, instead of looking at your massive list of things to do and sitting on the floor crying  (We've all been there)

Now with this all being said - Its time for me to actually do something! Hope this helps you be a little bit more productive and feel more accomplished by the end of the day. And let me know what your tips are to help you concentrate (we could all use some more tips)

Winter Outwear Wishlist

Hello my lovelies, its that time of the year again when wrapping up warm is essential! But who says we can't do it in style? These are just some of the things I have been craving so much recently, pay day can't come soon enough!

I'll start with my all time favourite that I am totally in love with at the moment, my love for pastels is still going strong, and this winter coat is beautiful!

There are many similar ones out there but I haven't quite found one that I love as much as this. This one is from Miss Selfridge and will set you back about £80.00, but so worth it. You can find it online here.

Next, I am in massive need of more trousers and leggings. I think I'm going to have to go on a mass shop to get loads, but for now these are the only ones that make it on the wishlist. These are topshop jeans with the slits in the knees, now I will hunt around as topshop jeans are quite pricey and there may be some very similar ones around, but for now you can find this exact pair online here.

I don't know what the big hype is about ripped jeans at the moment, and I don't usually like it when they have loads of rips, but i'll make an exception for these! I think they look so stylish.

Now what winter outwear wishlist wouldn't be complete without a tartan scarf? I already have one with light blue tones but I saw this and thought it was adorable. Still has a hint of mint green/blue in it but I am loving the pink shades which isn't normally me.

This one in particular is from New Look for only £9.99, which you can get from online here.

Next, More tartan... But in the form of a blanket wrap. I think these are perfect for winter as you can stay super cosy while looking great too. And this is just one of the ones I saw that I adore, there are so many others that I wish I could snap up today. This one is also from New Look for £19.99, and you can see it here.

Next is this faux fur jacket from Miss Selfridge, and normally I'm not a fan of fur or shorter coats but this I can make an exception for, I think its so cute and wintery and also perfect for Christmas time and christmas parties.

As I was scrolling online there are so many beautiful things at the moment and just making me wish I had more money to spend, but these are the ones that made the final cut. If any of you have a wish list i'd love to see it to give me more things to drool at all over my keyboard.

October Favourites

Hello lovelies, its that time of year again. First of the month, everyone blogging about their favourites of the month. Now I haven't done one every month, because there are just some months where I don't feel I have enough of what i've been loving to share with you. But here we are this month with a few things I have for you!

So I have 5 for you this time, one of them being a bit out there, but you'll soon see I couldn't not put it in. But that to come later, first the 3 beauty products I have been loving.

I'll start with the EOS lip balm, now i'm pretty sure i've had one of these on my previous favourites but I recently bought one in the flavour mint, and so this had to be in my favourites as I love them so much. This has been by my bed and in my handbag constantly since i've had it.

Next my Mac blush, I actually bought this a while back but I didn't actually wear it all that much because I had this bronzer I liked, but one day i forgot this bronzer at home and I used this and loved it so much more, it stays on for a lot longer and is a really autumnal colour.

Lastly for beauty products, I picked up this Rimmel salon pro nail varnish from the Kate Moss collection. Its in the shade 'Soul Session' and the reason I bought this was because I've recently got a part time job working at Pandora and they only like you to wear nude and natural colours and my nail collection is severely lacking in the nude colours. I have to say, I really like the look of the nudes on nails, it is really subtle but still looks nice.

Next, I received a Ted Baker Ipad case as a late birthday present from a friend and it is beautiful. There isn't much more I can say about it really but I totally recommend any of the Ted Baker products, the only thing I don't really like are the big bags in the similar style to my Ipad case. I think for what they cost, they don't look that great and they scratch so easily too (especially in black) But I adore the handbags, just so expensive for poor students like myself.

And finally - The car key. I realise this is a bit different to put in a favourites but this month I got a car, and not just any car, my dream car I have wanted since I was about 15 and in a colour I totally adore! I am the luckiest girl in the world to get this. It's a fiat 500, in the colour mint. His name is Pascal and I don't think I could be any happier with him. So now you can see why I had to put him in my favourites this month.

So that's that for this month, bit of a mix match but all favourites none the less. Let me know if you have had any weird favourites like me this month!
