My Mac Lipstick Collection

Hello lovelies, So although I have started my Youtube channel now, I still want to stay active on here and post totally different things to keep you all happy. So today I am going to talk to you on here about my Mac Lipstick Collection!

So I haven't actually been buying Mac lipsticks for that long, but I don't need to tell any of you how addictive it is. I currently have 8, which is just enough to fill my little lipstick tray, so for now, I am content (Until i next visit mac probably)

I know a lot of you will probably 100% agree with me when people (men, I.E Boyfriends) say why do you have so many lipsticks that are exactly the same colour. No. Just No. I am like most, and I have a favourite sort of shade, and so I have some similar ones, but each and every colour is different.

These are currently all the colours I own, and I do also think a lot of them look very different on, then in the actual tube. Fresh Moroccan, Creme in your coffee and Taupe are all similar shades, however they all have different finishes. Taupe (which I have mentioned before in my blog as one of my faves) is matte which gives a very different effect to Fresh Moroccan which is frost.

Velvet Teddy and Shy girl are my two nudes, but both have such a different impact. Velvet teddy is probably most well known from the Kardashians and those amazing lips! Shy Girl is actually one i recently acquired from my best friend who didn't think it suited her, so naturally I stole it. Again velvet teddy is a matte, which I do love, but it can sometimes dry your lips a lot easier than the other finishes.

Bombshell is a bit of the odd one out of this collection, its very pink compared to the others which are quite natural tones but I do really like this one, and I think I will be wearing it a lot more in the summer as it really stands out. And then Brick-O-La and New York apple are the closest I will get to red probably, I don't think red really suits me that much and whenever I am brave enough to wear it, it always ends up all over my face or teeth. Not nice. Brick-O-La was actually the first one I purchased out of all of these and I still love it now.

Now, as I previously mentioned, I do own some similar shades and on this photo you may look at some and go, they are the same, but if you really look at the texture and the shine to them, you can tell they will look a lot different actually on the lips.

I go through so many phases with what I like to wear, I find it hard to pick just one out of them all. Let me know what your favourite is out of mine, or even out of your own collection (Or want list), I'd love to know, and always good to get ideas for what to buy next.

Thanks for reading guys, and if you havn't already I would love you forever if you went over and subscribed to my brand new Youtube channel by clicking HERE, A new video will be posted on Thursday!

Lips Haul

Hello lovelies, today my lips got spoilt! Only a few purchases but things i've been wanting to try nonetheless.

First stop was Topshop, at the moment they are doing 20% off so I did very well to keep myself in the makeup section and not even look at any clothes! (I genuinely have a shopping problem). But I have heard good things about the topshop makeup and especially the lipsticks so I decided to give them a go. There are so many lovely colours, the same goes to the nail varnish, and I spent ages trying to find my favorites (my friends tried on like 3 outfits in the time it took me to choose) I finally decided on the one from the lips section and I turn around to see more choices of colours of the sheer lips. So obviously I had to indulge in both. I wanted quite light colours as I have a few dark, and I picked a really sweet colour called 'macaroon' in the lips (so it also sounds delicious) which is a lovely pink shade, and then a slightly more orangey pink in the sheer lips called 'play with fire'.
These both retail at £8.00 but as I had 20% student discount I think they were about £6.40 each.

Next I ventured into superdrug, I was actually looking for the new Zoella products to have a little nosey, but it seemed that that superdrug was rubbish and didn't have any! However these little gems caught my eye. I have a few of the baby lips collection but i've actually not tried these before, and they were £2.99 each but with a buy one get one half price offer on. It was a tough choice to just choose two but I settled on 'Cherry Me' and the 'Strike a Rose' from the electro collection. Sticking to the pinkish theme i've carried with my lips on this blogpost.

I'm really impressed with them all to be honest and I can see my collection growing very soon!

Thanks for reading guys,

Mini shopping haul

Hey lovelies! So this weekend i have been down at my dads and we went shopping in the beautiful city of Bath!

So i didn't buy that much, but i'm rather broke at the moment and shouldn't have even got these things, but what can i say! we all need to treat ourselves occasionally.

So my first purchases were in the Mac store, and i did plan to get a few more things than this but i just wasn't loving the foundation at the time and i like someone to come up to me at mac and tell me the skin colour i should get, and that never happened. I did get some lipstick and blush however, and i am ashamed to say this is actually my first mac lipstick purchase (but i'm pretty sure it is far from my last, don't worry girls) At the moment i am really into plumy colours for my lips so i got a colour called 'brick' which you can see in the picture. This was £15.00 (i really wish Mac did student discount)

And then my second purchase from Mac was blush all day in 'MMCX-03', which is quite dark for my skintone and for summer but i really like the colour, and again, im sure it won't be my last purchase! Again that was £15.00 and that other little parcel you see there as well is actually a free sample of primer, i've actually bought the full product of this before and although it was good, i think there are cheaper just as effective primers out there.. but who doesn't love free stuff?
My next stop was Urban Outfitters, and i adore this store! I think i mostly love the quirky little things like the books or the homeware, but i also enjoy everything else. My first purchase was the hat which was like £16.00 with my student discount and i have been looking everywhere for a hat like this, because i don't know if i have an abnormal sized head or everyone else has big heads but i couldn't find one anywhere that fit my head nicely, and i tried this one and it was perfect! So had to snatch that up.

And then my last purchase again from Urban Outfitters was the watch. I've been looking for a cheapish watch that i really like and i'm not a fan of gold or silver straps unless they are real or they just look a bit cheap the majority of the time. This one was just adorable and i couldn't really afford it, but just couldn't pass it up.

And that is my mini shopping haul from this weekend!
