Superdrug Haul

Hello lovelies, today I spent a little more than I care to admit. But one has to splurge occasionally (or in my case every other week). Today I only have lectures until 11 and so I went into town to do a few bits and bobs. I decided to give my hair a very healthy chop which you can go check out on my Instagram if you want to see that, and I popped into superdrug to literally just look at this one thing and so naturally I come out spending a small fortune.

So the first thing that caught my eye were these real techniques brushes. Now my brush collection at the moment, although I do have a few, the quality is not that great. For ages I have been debating between Real Techniques or Zoeva and I think I did make my mind up and wanted to go for Zoeva, however these were on offer so I dived in and got these. I probably will still get the rose gold Zoeva set but for now these will start off my new shiny collection. The 3 pack of brushes cost just over 20 pounds and include the duo-fiber face brush, duo-fiber contour brush and the duo-fiber eye brush. All of these will come in really handy for my everyday makeup. And the single brush is the foundation brush, I got this as I was worried my current one was just sucking up too much product. That one is usually £8.99 but as part of the offer mine was around £4.50.

Next, I picked up these 3 items. These were impulse buys but I feel they will come in very handy. The first two were the maybelline colour 24h tattoo, these are both cream eyeshadows that I have never actually tried before but I think they give a really flawless and effortless look. I got them in the colour 'pink gold' and 'on and on bronze', these two colours are my favourite colours to wear on my eyes at the moment and will be easy to combine with my naked palette.

I then picked up this Kate Moss Rimmel lipstick. I don't actually own a really red lipstick and the reason this one caught my eye was because it is for Red Nose Day. (If you don't know what that is, here in the UK Red Nose Day is this big charity day where we raise money for charity and there is this big TV thing, its pretty good). And £1.50 of the price of the lipstick goes to this charity. This is something I've always liked to get involved in and so why not do your bit while buying lipstick? It's a win win. The colour of this lipstick is actually called Red Nose Day, and its a really nice shade too!

And lastly, I saw all of Zoella's products sat there looking beautiful and I am actually yet to try the Fizz bar, and considering I left all my new bath bombs and stuff at home and forgot to bring them back to University I thought I'd treat myself and try this.

And that is my little superdrug haul for today, if you'd like me to review or mention any of these products again once i've used them, let me know! And let me know if you've spent a little too much on makeup recently just so I don't feel so bad!

Zoella Beauty: Review

Hello lovelies, I know you will have all have heard about this special lady. Zoella. The amazing woman who inspires so many of us today, and as a lot of you will know, a couple of weeks ago she bought out her own beauty range 'Zoella Beauty'. So after searching several Superdrugs as all her products were flying off the shelves, I finally found them!

I purchased the Zoella Soak Opera bath soak & the Zoella Lets Glow candle, mostly because I am obsessed with candles and I haven't had a good bubble bath in years so I felt these fitted me the best. I also wanted to try the Fizz Bar, but anywhere that stocks them must be sold out in seconds, as these were impossible to find.

So I set out by running my bath and I poured some soak opera into the bath, I must admit I went a little bit crazy with it and used quite a bit. And to my delight the bath was full of bubbles within minutes, however to say how much I used, I don't know if it would be full of bubbles if you only used a little bit. As the bath was almost ready I lit my candle for the first time in the hope it would fill my room with a beautiful scent that would hit me when I walked back into my room.

Now on a serious note, i've tried to look at these products completely objectively, as it is very easy to just say how amazing each product is just because we love Zoella so much.

When I hopped into the bath it was very relaxing and smells wonderful, but for me I love my bubbles in my bath and if I were to use what I used every time I had a bath it wouldn't last very long for me. So i'm hoping the next time I used the product it will still give me lots of bubbles but with less product used.

When I reluctantly got out of the amazingly hot and lovely smelling bath, I did indeed walk into my room to be greeted with my room smelling great. However, the scent was fairly weak compared to my Yankee Candle for example and I have read several reviews that say that the smell is not to their taste, but me, I really like it! So I urge everyone to smell before they buy.

Overall, I think Zoe has done an amazing job to create all these yummy and affordable treats for us all to enjoy, you can tell shes put a lot of her personality into these. And for the price of each item I think it is definitely worth it to pamper yourself! You can find the whole range of her products here, on the Superdrug website (and obviously in store too)

What do you guys think of Zoella Beauty products? Post links down in the comments to your reviews, I'd love to read them!

Top Ten Tag

Hello lovelies, I was tagged by the beautiful Millie from Corkscrew Curls, so go check her out. This is the top ten tag, so I will just natter on about my favourite beauty products really.

1. Foundation
Well i've tried pretty much every drugstore foundation there is, because as much as I would love to say I could afford to buy Mac everytime I run out, I can't. So at the moment, the one I am loving is the Rimmel wake me up foundation. This is the first one I have bought and I do really like it! Will be purchasing again i'm sure.

2. Powder
Now I actually got given this as a present and when this runs out i'm a little bit screwed as i'm not sure where I will be able to repurchase this. It is called Sue Devitt triple C-weed loose powder. And if my sources are correct I believe it was in a glossybox one time so some of you may have had it before.

3. Concealer
Well again, it has to be the Rimmel wake me up concealer which I think I have mentioned before. To be honest with you guys I haven't really tried out that many concealers but when you have one you really like, why bother?

4. Blush
I'd have to say my go to blush is Mac's blush all day. Mine is in a darker colour which I like but I do need to invest in more pinky colours soon.

5. Bronzer
Again, i'm pretty sure I stole this off my mum and the front has all worn off so i'm not even sure what it is, but its an amazing bronzer! All it says is pot of gold brozing pearls.. in a little cirlular brown pot. So if you guys know what it is, let me know!

6. Highlighter
I really don't use highlighter, and i'm ashamed to say I don't own one. But if you know of an amazing one that I simply must try out and it will change my life forever, please enlighten me.

7. Mascara
The mascara I am loving at the moment is Maybelline's Rocket volume express mascara. Absolutely love it.

8. Eye Shadow
Of course it is going to be my Urban Decay naked palette. Even if you are in a rush and just shove a few shades on your eyelid it still looks amazing!

9. Brows
I really need to buy a new eyebrow product, but the one I use at the moment is just a Rimmel brow pencil. I think i'll probably try the benefit brow stuff soon.

10. Lip Product
I'm actually not going to mention any lipsticks, but something I had in my July favourites. Its the EOS lip balm. I have yet to purchase any more like I said I would but it is definitely on the list! Its so easy to apply and handy to carry around everywhere with you.

And that is everything, Thank you again Millie for the tag. Thanks for reading,

July Favourites

Hello lovelies, just here to tell you what I have been loving this month!

This is actually my first favourites tag, and it is a bit random! But all relevant i'd say, this month (for England) has been a scorcher! So a lot relate to that.

Number One:

Scrunchies!! I am absolutely loving scrunchies at the moment, in this hot weather they are such a simple and effective way to do your hair. I got this one in the sale from New Look for £1.00 and I will most definitely be starting a big collection.

Number Two:

Now this is a bit of a weird one, as it doesn't exactly look beauty and style. But basically I got REALLY badly sunburnt, after sun and everything just weren't touching it, so i got this! It was recomended by my doctor, but you can just get it from any pharmacy normally. Its called 'Aqueous Calamine Cream' and it has honestly worked wonders. Main thing to do is not get sun burnt, but sometimes it happens, we know that (unlike all the people in the pharmacy that gave me dirty looks and told me 'the answer is to just wear suncream') So if you do, this is what you need!

Number Three:

Everyone loves a summer nail varnish, I am loving this colour from topshop! I love mint green colour in general and have quite a few clothes and stuff with this so that will be why this appeals to me i guess.
As you can see in the picture the colour is actually called 'Gone Fishing' and it is from Topshop (if you don't already recognise the spotty top they always have on their make up)

Number Four:

Recently i've not really been doing much in the way of fancy stuff, I have just been busy with stuff at home or working in the village, therefore I haven't really felt the need to waste my perfume. This is the perfect solution for those kind of days. It's Body Shop's body mist, you can just spray all over your body and it smells amazing just to either freshen up in the hot weather or for when you go out. The one I have is actually a Christmas limited edition one i think, in the scent of cranberry, which i adore! But i would recommend peach, but everyone likes their own thing so go try them all out and find your favourite! They are around £7.50 I think and are very worth it I feel!

Number Five:

Last but not least, my EOS lip balm. My boyfriend actually picked this up for me at Selfridges, but i'm pretty sure you can get them at boots and all sorts. They are amazing, they smell great and are very popular with lots of celebrities. My one is 'Strawberry Sorbet' and its great but there are so many others I want to buy. And they are so handy to just shove in your bag! Think they are around £5.00, but you can buy packs of them and stuff, and this is another thing that i will most definitely start collecting.

And thats my July Favourites guys, hope you've enjoyed them and its inspired you to go try some of these products. Let me know what yours are!

Mini shopping haul

Hey lovelies! So this weekend i have been down at my dads and we went shopping in the beautiful city of Bath!

So i didn't buy that much, but i'm rather broke at the moment and shouldn't have even got these things, but what can i say! we all need to treat ourselves occasionally.

So my first purchases were in the Mac store, and i did plan to get a few more things than this but i just wasn't loving the foundation at the time and i like someone to come up to me at mac and tell me the skin colour i should get, and that never happened. I did get some lipstick and blush however, and i am ashamed to say this is actually my first mac lipstick purchase (but i'm pretty sure it is far from my last, don't worry girls) At the moment i am really into plumy colours for my lips so i got a colour called 'brick' which you can see in the picture. This was £15.00 (i really wish Mac did student discount)

And then my second purchase from Mac was blush all day in 'MMCX-03', which is quite dark for my skintone and for summer but i really like the colour, and again, im sure it won't be my last purchase! Again that was £15.00 and that other little parcel you see there as well is actually a free sample of primer, i've actually bought the full product of this before and although it was good, i think there are cheaper just as effective primers out there.. but who doesn't love free stuff?
My next stop was Urban Outfitters, and i adore this store! I think i mostly love the quirky little things like the books or the homeware, but i also enjoy everything else. My first purchase was the hat which was like £16.00 with my student discount and i have been looking everywhere for a hat like this, because i don't know if i have an abnormal sized head or everyone else has big heads but i couldn't find one anywhere that fit my head nicely, and i tried this one and it was perfect! So had to snatch that up.

And then my last purchase again from Urban Outfitters was the watch. I've been looking for a cheapish watch that i really like and i'm not a fan of gold or silver straps unless they are real or they just look a bit cheap the majority of the time. This one was just adorable and i couldn't really afford it, but just couldn't pass it up.

And that is my mini shopping haul from this weekend!
